What the evidence says
The Advertising Standards Authority accepts evidence that acupuncture can offer temporary relief of knee pain from osteoarthritis, alongside other treatment. It's not a cure, and I'll always be honest that the relief is temporary, not permanent.

What a session involves
We'll talk through how long the knee's been troubling you, any diagnosis you've had, and your general health and mobility. Points are usually chosen around the knee itself as well as elsewhere.
Acupuncture needles are solid and hair-fine, far thinner than a needle used for injections. Most people feel a light prick or nothing at all.
What I can't promise
Everyone is different, and acupuncture isn't a substitute for medical care. If you have a diagnosed condition or you're taking medication, keep your GP involved. I'll always tell you honestly whether I think acupuncture is right for you.
