Meet Nathan

My path to acupuncture began in healthcare. I spent years working in NHS and private care, much of it in mental health. While spending time in the USA, I saw how much acupuncture could offer people, and it inspired me to return to healthcare through a more holistic route.

I trained for three years to honours degree level at The Acupuncture Academy (TAA) in Leamington Spa, studying Chinese medicine and functional healthcare, and have since trained in additional techniques to broaden what I can offer.

TAA teaches in the Five Element tradition. It was set up by Jen Wade and Julie Reynolds after the original Five Element college in Leamington, the College of Traditional Acupuncture, closed, and its degree-level course is accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB). So I learned my craft just down the road, in the same town where Five Element acupuncture has been taught in Britain for decades.

I practise Five Element acupuncture, the tradition brought to the West by Professor J.R. Worsley of Coventry. I aim to be calm and compassionate, to explain things clearly, and to offer late clinics that fit around people's working lives.

In that time I've worked with a huge range of people and concerns. I'll always be honest with you about what the evidence supports and what's more about how you feel.

British Acupuncture Council

I'm a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the UK's largest professional body for traditional acupuncturists. Members have completed degree-level training, follow a code of safe practice and professional conduct, and keep their training up to date.

My BAcC membership number is 961102, and I'm registered with Coventry City Council for acupuncture, as the law requires. You can check any practitioner on the BAcC's find an acupuncturist register.

The BAcC's register is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority, the independent body that oversees health and care registers in the UK.
